圣诞名曲欣赏：《Joy to the World普世欢腾》
“普世欢腾！救主下降！大地迎接君王！惟愿众心预备地方，诸天万物歌唱！诸天万物歌唱……”这首世界圣诞名曲《Joy to the World普世欢腾》充满喜庆又有气势，让人想到经文诗篇98章4节“全地都要向耶和华欢乐，要发起大声，欢呼歌颂。”
据《赞美诗（新编）史话》记载，该诗由英国近代圣乐之父瓦茨所写，原来是配以霍斯所写的曲谱《RICHMOND》，虽然也有快乐感恩的情绪，但比起由1830年梅森以伟大作曲家亨德尔名作《弥赛亚》中所改编的乐曲，就显得欢畅的程度不够高涨了。
